Brendan Reed
Managing Director & General Counsel

Mr. Reed is responsible for overseeing all aspects of ASB’s legal affairs and is a member of the firm’s Management and Investment Committees, where he plays a key leadership role in determining the strategic direction of the firm.

Additionally, Mr. Reed serves as the head of capital markets, where he is responsible for leading all aspects of managing the funds’ debt portfolios and capital markets activities in connection with real estate investments across the United States.

Prior to assuming his responsibilities at ASB, Mr. Reed was a partner with Kirkland & Ellis LLP. While in private practice, Mr. Reed predominantly represented private equity fund sponsors investing nationally and internationally.

Mr. Reed received an A.B. degree, magna cum laude from Harvard University and a J.D. from the University of Virginia. In addition to his roles at the funds, Mr. Reed is a published author on matters related to private equity and finance.
