Brendan Reed
Managing Director & General Counsel

Mr. Reed is responsible for overseeing all aspects of ASB’s legal affairs and is a member of the Management and Investment Committees, playing a key role in advising on the strategic direction of the firm.

Prior to joining ASB, Mr. Reed was a partner with Kirkland & Ellis LLP. While in private practice, Mr. Reed predominantly represented private equity fund sponsors and practiced in the areas of corporate, commercial and securities law with experience related to corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, governance matters, real estate, and business strategy.

Mr. Reed received an A.B. degree, magna cum laude from Harvard University and a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law. In addition to his role at the fund, Mr. Reed is a published author on matters related to private equity, securities law and finance.
